The RPP2019 conference invites scientists from academia and industry to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations describing original research in any of the following conference scientific topics:
Including gene expression and regulation, translation, protein folding and stability, secretion, stress responses and cellular quality control.
Including systems metabolic engineering, synthetic biology tools, and integration of random and rational approaches.
Including challenges in up- and down-scaling, host physiology under bioprocess conditions, downstream processing, bioprocess analysis, product quality control, and the safety status of cell factories.
Including multicomplex and multispecific proteins, membrane proteins, and cell-free technologies.
Deadline for abstract submission: January 25th , 2019
Deadline for poster submission: February 15th , 2019
Please use the abstract form to prepare your submission:
The abstract title should be less than 160 characters and must not be written in capital letters. Non-standard abbreviations should be avoided in titles, but may be used in the text if they are defined at first usage. The abstract should include the name of the presenting author underlined and affiliations of all authors. The body of the abstract should not exceed 1600 characters. Standard abbreviations and SI units must be used. Please ensure that your abstract does not include tables, charts or figures.
The scientific committee will select the type of contribution (oral or posters) based on the review of abstracts.

The corresponding author will receive an e-mail confirming the successful submission of the abstract. All abstracts for consideration as oral presentations will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee. A decision on the acceptance of your abstract will be made as soon as possible.
Abstracts should be checked for accuracy prior to submission. Once the abstract has been submitted, changes, corrections or rewording will be possible until the abstract deadline on February 15th, 2019. After this date changes will not be possible. The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission. Abstract submission does not constitute registration for the conference. Abstract presenters must register to attend the conference by following the instructions for registration.
Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official RPP2019 Abstract Book.
Posters must be brought to the meeting by the presenting author and should not be mailed in advance. The required dimensions are 84 cm (width) by 120 cm (height) corresponding to an A0 format. At the top of a poster, please provide the title of the paper, names of the authors and their affiliations, all in bold lettering of about 2.5 to 3 cm size. Artwork and lettering should be large and clear enough so that the poster is readable from a distance of 1.5 m.
Important Submitting an abstract for presentation does not constitute registration for the conference. Abstract presenters must register to attend the conference by following the instructions for registration.

Novozymes Poster Prize Awards
The Novozymes poster awards are intended to recognize students demonstrating outstanding skills with regard to communicating new scientific and substantial results in the form of a poster. Prizes will be awarded to the best three posters presented by PhD students or young scientists in their first research position. If you qualify to enter this competition, please mark your poster with a label that will be provided by the Conference Organizers at the event. The first prize consists of a cash award in the amount of €1000. The second prize is a cash award of €500. The third prize is in the amount of €250.
The new edition on Recombinant Protein Production (RPP11) will take place in Girona, Spain from 17 – 19 October, 2023.

The RPP conference series aims at offering a comprehensive overview of current challenges and innovative solutions in recombinant protein production across different cell factories. Special attention is attributed to the comparative physiology of microbial and higher eukaryotic platforms for protein production. The 10th RPP conference will build on the successes of previous meetings, which have attracted steadily increasing numbers of researchers from both academia and the bioprocessing industry. The meeting will address four major areas and emerging trends in recombinant protein production of industrial relevance:
